What backups are for

  • Recovering files deleted by accident or overwritten
  • Recovering from ransomware or other malicious changes
  • Restoring systems after hardware failure
  • Meeting retention and compliance requirements

Where your data lives

Files saved to OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams are protected in Microsoft 365 and, where included in your plan, by additional backups managed by XaaS Techs. Files saved only on your computer's desktop or a USB drive may not be backed up.

Save work files in OneDrive or SharePoint rather than only on your computer, so they are protected and available from any device.

Requesting a restore

  1. Submit a ticket with the file or folder name and its location.
  2. Tell us the approximate date it was last correct.
  3. We will confirm when the restore is complete.
