Weak and reused passwords are one of the most common ways attackers get in. These simple habits keep your accounts safe.

Make strong passwords easy
- Use a passphrase of at least 14 characters, such as several random words
- Use a different password for every account
- Never reuse your work password on personal websites
- Turn on multi-factor authentication wherever it is offered
Use a password manager
A password manager creates, stores and fills in strong, unique passwords for you, so you only need to remember one master passphrase. Ask XaaS Techs which password manager your company has approved before storing work passwords.
What not to do
- Do not write passwords on sticky notes or in unprotected spreadsheets
- Do not share passwords by email or chat
- Do not save work passwords in a personal browser profile
If you think a password may have been exposed, change it right away and let us know.
