Change your password (you know your current one)
- Sign in at office.com with your work email.
- Click your profile picture in the top-right corner and choose View account.
- Select Password, or go directly to mysignins.microsoft.com.
- Enter your current password, then your new password twice, and click Submit.
Reset a forgotten password
If your organization has self-service password reset enabled, you can reset it yourself:
- Go to passwordreset.microsoftonline.com.
- Enter your work email and the characters shown, then click Next.
- Verify your identity using the method you set up, such as the Authenticator app or a text message.
- Choose a new password and sign in again on all your devices.
If self-service reset is not set up for your account, submit a ticket or call us. We will verify your identity before resetting your password.
Password tips
- Use a passphrase of at least 14 characters, such as three or four random words
- Do not reuse a password from any other website
- Update the password on your phone and tablet mail apps after changing it
Microsoft and XaaS Techs will never email you a link asking you to "verify" or "keep" your password. Those messages are phishing.
