Privacy Policy
How we collect, use, share and protect personal information, and the rights California residents have over it.
On this page
This Privacy Policy explains how XaaS Techs LLC ("XaaS Techs," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you visit www.xaastechs.com (the "Website"), contact us, or use our services. It is designed to meet the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA) and, to the extent they apply to us, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, the "CCPA") and California's "Shine the Light" law.
This policy covers information collected through the Website and our marketing and sales activities. Data we process on behalf of managed IT clients inside their systems is governed by our client agreements, and we process it only as a service provider following the client's instructions.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you fill out a contact or consultation form, request support, email or call us, we collect information such as your name, business email, phone number, company name, job title, the services you are interested in and the content of your message.
Information collected automatically. When you browse the Website, we and our service providers collect device and usage information such as IP address, browser type, device type, approximate location derived from IP address, referring pages, pages viewed, time spent and clicks. We collect this using cookies, pixels and similar technologies described in our Cookie Policy.
Information from other sources. We may receive business contact information from public sources, business partners and referral sources.
CCPA categories. In the past 12 months we have collected the following categories of personal information: identifiers (name, email, phone, IP address); commercial information (services requested); internet or other electronic network activity (browsing and interaction data); approximate geolocation; professional or employment-related information (company and title); and inferences drawn from the above. We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information through the Website.
2. How we use information
- Respond to inquiries, provide quotes and schedule consultations
- Provide, support and improve our services
- Send service communications and, where permitted, marketing emails (you can unsubscribe at any time)
- Analyze and improve the Website and measure the performance of our advertising
- Protect the security of the Website and our clients, and prevent fraud
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements
3. How we share information
We do not sell personal information for money. We share personal information with:
- Service providers that help us operate our business, such as website hosting, CRM, email, analytics and support platforms, under contracts that restrict their use of the data
- Advertising and analytics partners, such as Google, Meta and Microsoft, through cookies and pixels on the Website. Under the CCPA, some of this may be considered "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising
- Professional advisors such as lawyers and accountants
- Authorities when required by law or to protect rights, property or safety
- A successor in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets
4. Cookies and tracking technologies
We use essential cookies to operate the Website and, with your choices respected, analytics and advertising technologies including Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, Microsoft Clarity, Meta Pixel and Plausible Analytics. See our Cookie Policy for details and how to control them.
5. Your California privacy rights
If you are a California resident and the CCPA applies to our processing of your information, you have the right to:
- Know and access the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, the purposes and the categories of third parties we disclose it to
- Delete personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, including for cross-context behavioral advertising
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information (we do not use it for purposes that require this right)
- Non-discrimination: we will not deny services, charge different prices or provide a different level of service because you exercised your rights
How to submit a request. Email info@xaastechs.com with the subject line "California Privacy Request" or call (626) 412-8113. We will verify your identity by matching information you provide with information we hold, and we will respond within 45 days (extendable once by 45 days with notice). You may use an authorized agent; we may require proof of the agent's authority and verify your identity directly.
Shine the Light. California Civil Code Section 1798.83 lets California residents request information about personal information we disclosed to third parties for their direct marketing purposes in the prior calendar year. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes. Requests may be sent to the contact details below.
6. Do Not Track and opt-out preference signals
As required by CalOPPA, we disclose that the Website does not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, because there is no common industry standard for them. We do treat a valid Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal sent by your browser as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for that browser, to the extent the CCPA applies.
7. Data retention and security
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including to provide services, maintain business records and meet legal, tax and accounting obligations. Inquiry and marketing records are generally retained for up to three years after our last interaction unless a longer period is required. We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including encryption, access controls and multi-factor authentication, to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If a breach of personal information occurs, we will provide notice as required by California Civil Code Section 1798.82 and other applicable law.
8. Children
The Website is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect or sell or share personal information of children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes and contact
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it was last revised, and material changes will be highlighted on the Website. Questions or requests can be sent to:
